Regent’s will admit four students in Geography in 2025. Geography is a diverse discipline that bridges the arts and social and natural sciences, providing a broad education and addressing pressing issues including environmental change, regional and global inequalities and the transformation of global economy and culture. Students obtain a coherent view of the rapidly changing world and the ways in which society influences and is influenced by it.
Regent’s is also ideally placed for Geography being located around a 5-10 minute walk away from the Geography department, and a 2 minute walk away from the Radcliffe Science Library (where the majority of books for the course are located) – allowing us to pretty much roll straight out of bed 15 minutes before a 9am lecture and still get there on time! Additionally, majority of core textbooks can be found in the College’s own library.

There is no Geography test for candidates applying in 2025.
The course of study is organized by Dr Katrin Wilhelm and Dr Lorraine Wild. Dr Wilhelm teaches the compulsory part of the course on physical geography and Dr Wild the equivalent on human geography. Optional subjects are generally taught by tutors in other colleges.
Geography at Oxford is a departmentally-organized subject and geographers at Regent’s have full access to the facilities provided in the School of Geography and the Environment (SOGE), located on South Parks Road. The School is also responsible for the provision of field courses undertaken both in the UK and abroad.
